He is the oldest child of 2 boys, Son of single mom and loved one of many.
It was his childhood dream to serve his country and fulfill honors that go beyond imagination of many. He first served in the Coast Guard right out of High School. While he exceled at being a Coast Guardsman, He challenged himself to become one of the elite; MARINES. He went through the physical, emotional and straining demands that the military lifestyle puts onto their recruits. He went through the ranks with ease while becoming a Battalion commander of the 2/9 Marines, and one of the feared by the enemy and loved by the americans; Scout/Sniper (8541) He volunteered to be away from the comforts of home, family and friends to make sure we had comforts that he was going long times without. While asked why he did it, he always said..."It's his dream" and he never talked himself up. He liked to be thought of  "the average american" while at home and yet a respected member of athe USMC band of brothers while on the field. Loving,Caring, Compassionate and Understanding while at the same time being Strong, Confident and knowledgable on many levels. When returning home; He never once complained about anything beyond "wear and tear" of age. He silently dealt with the trauma that one can't imagine dealing with without screaming.

He survived many deployments especially after 9/11/01 happened and was center of it in 2003 when it all was "Hot zone". He always came home and he reassured his loved ones everytime would be no different than the last. He leaves, does his job and comes home.

April 17th, 2010 it was different, He was at field training in Cali. as he was stationed at Camp Pendleton. He did his usual routine and while on his way to the accomadations, his sudden urge to end it became to tempting and he did. He will be a hero forever in my eyes and while he made a HUGE difference in my ife. I want that to continue and I want him to continue to make a difference as I know he'd have it no other way!
